After a memorable 60th anniversary celebration in Ljubljana, we’re excited to announce that the 22^nd International Fotona Weekend (IFW) and 15^th Laser & Health Academy Symposium (LA&HA), the most anticipated event of the year for all members of the Fotona Family, will once again be returning to Slovenia’s seaside. 

We’ll be heading to Portorož, a place that has long set the stage for unforgettable moments and continues to embody the spirit of the Fotona Family. We’re eager to reunite in this inspiring location as we focus on innovation, collaboration, and our shared passion for advancing the field of laser medicine.

While last year’s anniversary event in Ljubljana welcomed over 1,200 participants, this year’s gathering will be more exclusive due to venue capacity, allowing for deeper discussions and closer interactions with experts.

Together with the Laser & Health Academy Symposium, co-hosted by Fotona, this year’s meeting will feature practical instructions and cutting-edge presentations from highly experienced clinical experts in laser medicine.

Attendees will gain updates on the latest research, learn about innovative techniques, and explore new advancements in the field. This is a prime opportunity to network and engage with the ever-growing community of Fotona medical-laser professionals.

Mark your calendars for May 22^nd to 25^th, 2025. This year, IFW will take place from Thursday to Friday, followed by the Symposium on Saturday and Sunday.

Portorož, poetically named “Port of Roses”, is the most important tourist center on the Slovenian coast. With over a century of spa tradition, a mild Mediterranean climate, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s the ideal place for both business and leisure.

The weather in Portorož at the end of spring is pleasantly warm and not too hot. Swimming in the Adriatic Sea is often possible in late spring; however, occasional rainy days are not unheard of.
